Sustainable Management of River Basins is our goal.
River engineering is the process of planned human intervention in the course, characteristics or flow of a river with the intention of producing some defined benefit. People have intervened in the natural course and behaviour of rivers since before recorded history - to manage the water resources, to irrigate farms, to protect against flooding or to make passage along or across rivers easier. From Roman times, rivers have been used as a source of hydropower. From the late 20th century, river engineering has had environmental concerns broader than immediate human benefit and some river engineering projects have been concerned exclusively with the restoration or protection of natural characteristics and habitats.
From the 1990’s a new science called Hydroinformatics. Hydroinformatics comprises the application of information technology to the understanding and control of the waters of the world, the very arteries and veins of the biosphere.

Integrated study and management planning of river catchments.
Through the use of hydrological and hydraulic models we study the river catchment to understand its water resources potentials and the hydraulic characteristics of the river. Based on the results, we develop optimum solutions to resolve the problems in sustainable manner. After consultation with the different stake holders we undertake the full design to the options.
Whether your issues are flooding problems, reservoir operation, groundwater development, irrigation, or water allocation, CBA Consultants Ltd can model it using one or the combination of the wide range of tools available to us. We have expertise to analyze and solve a range of complex water resources and environmental problems.
CBA Consultants Ltd study rivers and their catchment to integrated management plans.
